Active Expands Into New Zealand
The Wattyl Lake Taupo Cycling Challenge and the Mizuno Half Marathon Have Selected Active and Times-7 Sport’s Premier Event Management Technology

SAN DIEGO, CA – August 14, 2008 – The Active Network, Inc. (Active), a leading worldwide provider of online entry and event management technology, announced today it has expanded its presence in the New Zealand sports market. Active has signed a technology agreement with Times-7 Sport (Times-7), a leading provider of timing and identification technology, and has been selected by Wattyl Lake Taupo Cycle Challengeand the Mizuno Half Marathonto provide online entry to its thousands of participants. Active will be providing technology for over 100 events in New Zealand this year and continues to strengthen its presence in the region.

Active and Times-7 have teamed up to combine Active’s online entry and marketing solutions with Times-7’s world class timing technologies to offer a one-stop solution for online entry, timing, searchable results, Web sites, training programmes and marketing.

Active was also selected by Wattyl Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge, one of the largest cycling events in the Southern Hemisphere that attracts over 10,000 riders annually, as well as the Mizuno Half Marathon in Taupo, to provide online entry. Active’s online solutions offer both events secure payment processing, real-time data management, and local and global marketing opportunities. Times-7 has also been contracted by both events to provide their timing technology.

In addition to Wattyl Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge and the Mizuno Half Marathon, Active has been providing online entry to other events in New Zealand for many years, including Ironman New Zealand and the Port Tauranga Half Ironman.
